Pixelied Review – Brief Walkthrough
Consider Pixelied as a solid alternative to Canva.
The lifetime deal of $97 one time is compelling and the feature set, while not as robust as Canva, is good.
Creating New Designs
When you start the design creation process you first choose to either upload an image or from a template.
There are a large number of templates, but we’ll simply choose the pizza design to show the editor.
As you can see, you can insert text, images, illustrations, and a variety of other components to your new design.
You can make all of the standard updates you would make with similar tools, then export in JPG, PNG, WEBP, PDF, or SVG formats.
As a negative – I regularly use Canva for lightweight video work, and even include their free videos where needed. Pixelied has a great set of images but no videos and is unable to work with video content at all.
Background Remover
The Pro version of Pixelied supports background removal, a feature I use all the time.
Mockups
A beta feature of the software allows the rapid creation of mockups.
The user interface is the same as for creating new designs, for example, see this mockup.
Image Converter
The solution also supports converting images between various formats. As you can see in the following, you can translate images to any of the following formats:

It does a good job, as you can see with the original PNG on the left and the converted JPEG on the right below.
Pixelied Review – Final Thoughts
While the lack of video functionality will be a weakness for some, the cost and overall quality of it’s work with images make this a tool worth evaluating.
