Roderick Jefferson, Tamara McMillen, and I, along with countless others, have been looking at the world and wondering — can we do more than talk about change. Can we, in starting an open conversation with those around us, bring others together who will create small changes to improve the world of those in the profession we all participate in — Sales and Enablement?

That is our goal.

This series aims to be more than just another discussion on why diversity and inclusion matter. We know a few of the reasons why, but we know very little about how. How do we create actual change?

Our goal is to empower sales and sales enablement leaders with practical tips from experienced leaders as they share their stories and insights. In an honest and open format, we endeavor to showcase where things go wrong and how to get them right because everyone deserves not only a seat at the table but also to know they belong there and have equal access to everything on the menu.

We will start with defining, for our series, what we mean when we speak about equality, inclusion, and belonging and why understanding the differences in these terms makes all the difference.

With our contacts across the globe, we want to create a real change, a conversation that doesn’t merely echo within our own communities’ confines but grow into something more.

This series will launch at the beginning of October and will take place on a monthly cadence. We will include others as we all know we only have insights into our own stories, not those of others, and we must share as many insights, best practices, and examples of good as is possible.

If you are willing to join us, reach out to any of the three of us on LinkedIn, or leave a comment here. We want you to be a part of this conversation as well as a part of the positive changes we all want to see.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
